What can I expect of a psychiatric evaluation?

A psychiatric evaluation is a thorough and comprehensive assessment designed to understand your mental health concerns, history, overall well-being, and discuss tailored treatment options. The overall goal is to collect information to ensure safe, effective care.

What ages and conditions do you treat?

I work with adults between the ages of 18 and 60. I specialize in treating conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, perinatal mental health concerns, and substance use disorders.

Do you accept insurance?

I can accept Aetna, Cigna, BlueCross and BlueShield, Optum/United Healthcare, Oscar Health, and Oxford insurances.

Do you offer telehealth/telepsychiatry?

Yes, we offer both convenient telehealth/telepsychiatry sessions and traditional in-person appointments. Our telehealth services are conducted via a HIPAA-compliant platform to ensure your privacy and security.

What if I have an emergency between sessions?

If you are experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency, please go to your nearest emergency room or call 911 immediately. Brighter Days Psychiatry is an outpatient practice and is not equipped to handle emergencies.
